School Meals

Our meals are prepared on site each day. The children have a choice of four to five different meals each day, which they pre-order in the morning, please see our current menus below.

If your child has any special dietary needs, please do not hesitate to contact the school and we will endeavour to accommodate these, please see how to request a special diet below.

Your child is entitled to a free meal if they are in the Foundation Stage, Year 1 or Year 2. This is funding that the Government have introduced to schools under the ‘Universal Free School Meals’ scheme.

The price of an individual school dinner is £2.85 daily or £14.25 weekly and is payable via your Parent Pay account.

Does your child qualify for free school meals? Many children at our school are already eating free school meals, and your child may be able to have them too.

Your child may apply for free school meals if you are entitled to receive one of the following

Free school meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents are in receipt of, one or more of the following benefits:

Savings

If you pay for your child’s school meals, you could make a saving of almost £400 per year if your child has a school lunch every day. Even if you don’t want to have a meal every day it will mean your child can enjoy special occasions such as Christmas and Easter as well as themed days, including Harvest and Seaside Specials.

Our school will receive extra funding

For every child registered for a free school meal, the school will receive money to spend on extra resources. It’s called “Pupil Premium”, and we currently plan to use this funding on enabling children to work in small groups, extra resources, a school counsellor and sports coaching.
